In 2025 we will not have set dates for a reading group but an open commons Reader.
We will choose certain passages from the following books:
This Bridge Called My Back (Writing by Radical Women of Color) Edited by Cherrie Moraga & Gloria Anzaldua
Joyful Militancy by carla bergman and Nick Montgomery.
Rest is Resistance by Tricia Hersey (The Nap Ministry)
This list is still in the making. The books and and parts of the passages that we will read in common will soon be available.
In 2023, we are happy to be back to reading outdoors & together. This year's overarching theme is: water.
We started with The Snow Queen by Joan D. Vinge & Bodies of Water: Posthuman Feminist Phenomenology by Astrida Neimanis.
On 27 August at 19:00 we will have our second gathering. We will continue to follow up on Bodies of Water, Posthuman Feminist Phenomenology by Astrida Neimanis. We discussed the second chapter.
For the third Chapter, we will read Undrowned, Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals, written by Alexis Pauline Gumbs.
This year the reading group is an exquisite corpse: at each gathering we decide on the time and the next books together.
So there is no set plan. Please feel free to show up and never worry about preparation: we will read the texts out loud together.
